    Coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) is the preferred revascularization modality for patients with complex coronary artery disease (CAD), especially those with diabetes mellitus. CABG is not, however, “the end of the road”, as many patients believe, but is rather the beginning, due to high rates of bypass graft failure and native CAD progression, that increase in frequency with increasing time from CABG.
